Happy Easter!

18 April 2019

We have had a busy week this week with plenty of fun easter activities, and we even had a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Our Babies and Toddlers have been using their fine motor skills to decorate eggs. We spoke about the different colours and the textures of the paint and we used chunky paint brushes to help develop our palmar grasp. We also enjoyed playing in the shredded paper, hunting for Easter eggs and farm animals, making animal sounds as we found them.

The Early Learners have been having fun using binoculars to look for hidden Easter eggs and counting up to 5. We then decorated our eggs and went into the garden for an egg and spoon race!

Our Reception children have also been decorating eggs, whilst developing fine motor skills by holding a cotton bud between our two fingers and our thumb to make some lovely patterns on the eggs. Next we experimented with melting chocolate and marshmallows, so that we could make chocolate nests and marshmallow cakes. What a busy day!

Happy Easter from all at Kalgarth Grange!
